Lee 'KO' Mayo first started training at 6 years old in Ishinryu gaining a 1st Dan black belt at the age of 15, competing and winning many local and national kumite competitions including the British championships.
In 1992 he added kickboxing to his resume successfully gaining a 1st Dan black belt black belt.
In 1993 he went on to represent England as part of the national junior team winning silver medals in both the individual and team kumite's.
While training Lee also found the time to successfully pass his coaching and refereeing courses under Combat Sports UK and achieve his 2nd Dan in Ishinryu.
It was around this time that Lee discovered Chinese and Thai boxing and began to study under Master Kam.
He furthered his quest for knowledge by training, fighting and winning in Thailand.
Not happy to leave it there, Lee took up Judo in 1994 and is currently at brown belt level continuing on his way to add yet another black belt to his resume.
Lee's combat experience also comes from the numerous world champions and masters he has been lucky enough to train with over the years and his variety of cross training inevitably lead him to compete in mixed martial arts where he had a successful 6 fight career.
Coupled with over 58 kick/Thai competitions, countless kumite's and grappling competitions, Lee’s knowledge is second to none.
